Voices of Florida Fund is a black and queer-led 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to defending human rights and reproductive freedoms.
Our organization, originally named Women's Voices of SW Florida, was founded in 2021 as a direct response against a proposed abortion ban in Manatee County, FL. We have since rebranded to reflect our inclusivity and reach across the state of Florida - our fight for equality and equity is statewide and we will continue to effect change through peaceful protest and community outreach.

Abortion

Voices of Florida Fund believes abortion is essential healthcare. Denying abortion access disproportionately affects marginalized communities, particularly low-income individuals and people of color, who are less likely to have the resources to travel to places where abortion is legal. Restricting abortion does not prevent it from happening. It only makes it more dangerous. Safe, legal abortion reduces health risks, ensures that individuals can seek proper medical care, and supports a society that values the autonomy and dignity of its citizens.

Gender Affirming Care

Voices of Florida Fund believes gender affirming care is an essential component to a person’s right to bodily autonomy. Voices of Florida Fund recognizes bodily autonomy as a fundamental human right that emphasizes an individual's control over their own body and decisions regarding it. Bodily autonomy is crucial for personal freedom and not a political battleground.

Undocumented Peoples

Voices of Florida Fund believes that no human is illegal. Safety is a fundamental human need and right. Undocumented individuals should not fear violence, persecution, or displacement simply due to their immigration status. We recognize the many contributions of undocumented people to our society as a whole as they benefit the economy, culture, and social fabric of their communities.
War

Voices of Florida Fund firmly believes war is not a path to justice or security and rather creates more division and deepens the wounds of humanity. It undermines communities, disrupts societies, and hinders progress. We should always prioritize the pursuit of peace by focusing on diplomacy, dialogue, and cooperation over conflict.

Queer Rights

Voices of Florida Fund believes every person has the right to live authentically, free from discrimination, and to have their relationships and identities respected. Legal recognition and protection for LGBTQIA+ people, including the right to marry, adopt children, and access healthcare, are essential components of a fair society that values diversity and i
